Wilmington Grammar School for Boys
Our aim is to produce well-rounded individuals with a passion for learning and an enthusiasm for personal development. Results are consistently of a high standard with the majority of students going on to study in some of the most prestigious universities, whilst a minority opt for the Higher Level Apprenticeship programme as an alternative stepping stone to career success.
The school has an Engineering specialism and has developed some exciting links with business sponsors to ensure the curriculum is current and relevant to the rapidly changing needs of the workplace. Visits from alumnae help to ensure our students benefit from aspirational role models and can learn about the various routes and pathways available to them.
Wilmington Grammar School for Girls
Founded in 1958, our school has been helping girls to secure outstanding academic results and providing a well-rounded experience for over half a century. The school encourages a happy and harmonious community which respects the individual and celebrates the rich diversity of backgrounds and heritage of students and staff. We are a growing school with over 850 students on roll, but remain sufficiently small to recognise individual talents and ensure everyone is challenged and supported to reach their goals.
We aim to nurture a passion for learning and a desire to try new things and set ambitious goals. We have a strong emphasis on skill development and encourage our students to adopt the’ Wilmington Mindset’, where resilience and the impetus to innovate, trial new initiatives, grow in confidence, independence and resilience is applauded.
